Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (fully on-site, no remote option)

Description:
Sr. Database Administrator with 10+ years experience supporting large scale or enterprise level database services. Support for 24x7 production database environment. After-hours call in support be necessary when scheduled.

Required Skills:
  • 10 + years experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Postress, and MySQL & Oracle’s database (10 – current). 
  • Extensive experience with database design,  as well as, the collection and interpretation of  requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
  • BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year’s experience.
  • Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
  • Security + CE or higher required
 
Qualifications:
  • Managing/Senior Principal Consultant designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise.
  • Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed design for a specific Oracle product or technology.
  • Provides implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement unique business processes and workflows.
  • Performs routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls and security.
  • Performs system optimization, performance tuning and assists in capacity planning.
  • Performs proactive analysis of potential issues, risks and roadblocks during system implementation and operations.
